MICK CERAVOLO - Podiatrist
Why did you become a Podiatrist? An office job isn’t for me! I love to interact with people and communicate with people. Podiatry allows me to be hands on and make a difference in people’s lives whether it’s the small things in your day to day life or helping people smash their big active goals!.
What sort of patients do you most enjoy helping? I enjoy helping athletes at all levels of play. Growing up playing a number of sports I feel I can relate to athletes and the process of returning to sport after injury.
Interesting things you have done in your career? I’ve had the pleasure of working with the largest healthcare provider in the southern hemisphere, Monash Health, treating High-Risk feet. I’ve also had the opportunity to fit shoes for a number of sports teams at Active Feet, including Western Bulldogs football team, The Hawthorn football team and Melbourne Vixens netball team.
Current running shoe? Adidas Supernova Glide/Asics Dynaflyte.
Current work shoe? Windsor Smith, Chelsea boot. (Sports sockliner inside my shoe for comfort, #protip)
What do you do to keep fit? I powerlift, walk and play basketball with my mates.
Greatest sporting achievement? Over the years I’ve had a number of achievements, but my favourite would have to be winning Athlete of the Year at school in VCE (tough competition, trust me!).
If you could jump on a plane and visit one city, which would it be? New York City!
Favourite thing to do outside of work? Go to the gym and hang out with my mates.
Where did you grow up? I’m a local! I’ve grown up in East Doncaster.
What is your food weakness? Chicken and Chips!
